Kaj 800 - Specially designed solution with direct pipeline to chemical manufacturer
Quay with direct pipeline to the FMC factory
Specially designed chemical bridge
There is a long tradition of unloading chemicals at the Port of Thyboron. The Cheminova chemical manufacturer (called EMC today) began unloading caustic soda back in the 1990s. A special solution was established in the form of a chemical bridge at the Søndre Mole quay, with a direct pipeline to the factory storage tank.
Optimised transport logistics
The unloading has since taken place without any extra handling, and FMC still receives caustic soda via the pipeline direct from the Port of Thyboron. Unloading takes place completely undisturbed in a dedicated area of the port. This is another good example of a tailor-made solution that optimises the customer’s transport logistics.
ISPS compliant quay
The quay is ISPS-compliant. Søndre Mole is closed when large tankers are being unloaded.
